Product Description
Vintage O'Keefe & Merritt Gas Stove NEW 8.5" Oven Door Spring (works with the spring, cable & hook/rod system) If you have cables, this is the spring that is used with your model OK&M stove.
If your stove oven door uses the hook, cable and spring system, this is the "spring" part of the system for one side of your oven door. It attaches to the underside of your stove. For proper door function it is a good idea to replace both springs to maintain equal and proper tension. This will also help prevent panel browning.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall Length Extended 8.5" / Spring Coil 4.75"
To determine if your OK&M stove uses the spring, cable & hook system, remove your lower kick plate panel, shine flashlight on the underside of stove - you can also run your hand left to right at the center point, you should see or feel cables. If you have cables, this is the spring you'll use - if there are no cables, then your stove uses one of the other 2-3 OM fixed springs. Call if you have questions.
